Are you getting all the LivingSocial deals? A couple of months ago there was a deal for a local winery less than an hour away that included a tasting for two with cheese and crackers. My friend Sandy bought two deals and on Saturday the four of us took a blanket and headed out for a picnic at the winery. I was pretty impressed with all their varietals - even the whites! We bought two bottles - one white and one red to enjoy on their grounds. It was a beautiful, warm and sunny fall day and we sat on a blanket and drank our wine listening to the live music. We never would have known this place existed without the LivingSocial deal and I would certainly return for another visit.
I was extremely successful in my endeavor to do nothing yesterday! I got up, went to the grocery store, came home and made a big pot of chili for a houseful of football fans...and then proceeded to watch football for six hours straight. I barely left the couch (except to eat Sandy's homemade queso. Because, yum.) It was perfect.
Getting up for the gym this morning was especially heinous because I slept like shite and for some reason every part of me is sore. It's some kind of awful hybrid of hilly run DOMS mixed with PMS: sore calves, butt, lower back, and boobs. Not to mention that the sun doesn't come up until - what, noon? Something like that. Might as well be at least. Definitely not by 5:30, or 6:30 for that matter. So when the alarm went off at 4:56 I hit snooze three times before standing up and seriously considering the ramifications of crawling back in bed. I managed to get my gym clothes on and make it to the gym where I couldn't get my ass moving. I warmed up, jogged a little, got a big of stride, came back to a walk, jogged again before deciding that walking was the only way I could get through the remainder of the 50 minutes. So, yeah. It's something I suppose, which is pretty good for a Monday.
I'm working on getting a copy of P90X so I can start it up again. I know that any second now it's going to go from sunny autumn to three feet of snow and those are the days when it's really beneficial to have a solid at home workout routine.
