Happy Saturday!

Darnet I was hoping you all would say no to the videos ;) Just kidding! Now I’ve just got to figure out what to video.. Hmm.. I’ll think of something!

Last night I finally got my 9 hours of sleep.. perfect :) I got thrown off from the holiday weekend, but I’m finally back on track!

I woke up and had my usual oats and protein powder (which I made wayyy too watery.. ick) and then went to the gym for Back/Tris/Abs. It was great! I was pretty happy with the 6 wide grip pull ups I got today..

Superset:

Regular Sets:

  • T-Bar Row with olympic bar- 110 pounds, 4 sets of 9, 8, 8, 8
  • Rope Pushdown- 42.5 pounds, 4 sets of 10, 9, 8, 8 <-increased on reps
  • Skull Crushers - 50 pounds, 4 sets of 10, 8, 8,8 <-increased on reps
  • V-Bar Pulldown - 85 pounds, 4 sets of 9, 8, 8, 8
  • Alternating Duel Pulley Row- 85 pounds, 4 sets of 8
  • Inverted Row- 2 sets of 8
  • One-Arm Underhand Grip Tricep Pushdown- 15 pounds per arm, 4 sets of 8-
  • Hanging Straight Leg Raises - 4 sets of 20, 20, 20, 20

I came home with one thing in mind.. food as usual! Started off with my favorite shake- a Lightened Double Chocolate Peppermint Shake . Then I had some protein oatmeal! My friend Mary Beth sent me some protein powder to try in the mail (it was Allwhey Butterscotch Maple Fudge flavor) so I decided to put it to good use. I cooked up 40 grams of oatbran with water and 25 grams of NutraFiber. Then I added in 28 grams of the protein powder, and lots of cinnamon:


Delicious! That flavor is really yummy.. thanks Mary Beth! I looked it up online and the price isn’t too shabby either. I might have to splurge… ;)

After eating I did some lazying around the house and then went to Savers to look for some books. You can find really cheap novels in good condition there! I came home with 2 novels and one body building book. Sweet!

Yesterday when I was at the Asian Market I found regular shirataki noodles (not tofu shirataki) for a really good price, so I got a few bags. These are actually calorie and carb free, unlike the tofu version. Anyway, I mixed some of the noodles up (after rinsing them) with 100 grams of salad shrimp, a cup of broccoli, tons of mustard, and cayenne pepper:


And then behold lunch dessert.. my beloved PURPLE SWEET POTATO! Yeah! I had the 100 gram potato with 5 grams of almond butter, cinnamon, and ginger:


Mmmm! For those of you asking about the taste, I’m not really sure how to describe it. I do like them better than regular sweet potatoes though. And I read that they have 150% more antioxidants than blueberries!

Anyway, for the next couple hours I just talked on the phone with with a friend and was lazy.. again. Then I decided to re-arrange my room which was a workout in itself! I’m still not done putting it back together. My next meal was yummy- an egg white omelette/pancake (1 cup egg whites blended with cream of tartar, baking powder, and cinnamon) dipped in a mixture of 1 tbsp Naturally More PB + Walden Farms blueberry syrup; 2 cups defrosted green beans with mustard:


And for dinner I was uninspired and hungry so I went with a simple stir-fry again. This one had 200 grams of shredded cabbage, 210 grams of mashed cauliflower, 4 oz salmon, and 15 grams pistachios. Oh, and cayenne pepper, oregano, nutmeg, and black pepper!


I think that some days I’ll post my macros for each meal, sometimes I’ll post them for new meals I make, and sometimes when I’m feeling lazy not at all. Just for future reference!

The rest of my night will involve straightening up my room, watching Cops, and relaxing. See you tomorrow!
