Quick post today, but I just wanted to share yesterdays simple yet satisfying breakfast.
After a long run with intervals (walk 1 mile uphill, run 4, walk/sprint to 6 miles total) and some upper body work, I needed some post workout fuel. I wasn’t feeling the usual oats, nor did I feel like having tons of protein. I just wanted fruit, and something light. I had organic puffed millet cereal waiting to be tried, so into the bowl went:
~1 1/2 c puffed millet
1 TBS ground flax
Sliced banana (had it sitting in the freezer for about an hour- lovee cold bananas in cereal and oats!)
Sprinkle of Cinnamon
Very cool and refreshing (its been 80s here, ugh. I want the fall weather back!)
I’ve also been loving on chocolate milk at night – unsweetened almond chocolate milk in a tall glass filled with ice, few drops of vanilla stevia, sipped through the glass straw. So good!
