This stuff is amazing. Amazing!
As I mentioned in my last beauty favorites post, I’ve been going lighter on the makeup lately, and I have been using my Origins VitaZing moisturizer nearly every day rather than a foundation. I really love that product because, even though it is a moisturizer, it offers a tiny bit of coverage.
However, there are some days when a little bit of coverage just doesn’t cut it.
Rather than slathering on heavy foundation on those days, I’ve been applying the Tarte BB primer. It feels light on the skin, but it covers mostly all of the imperfections (aka breakouts) that I want to hide.
Minimizes the appearance of pores
Minimizes the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
Goes on lightweight and smooth
Offers some coverage but doesn’t look mask-like or cakey
Contains chemical-free SPF
Doesn’t break me out
Can be worn alone or under foundation for even more coverage
Formulated without parabens, mineral oil, phthalates, sodium lauryl sulfate, and synthetic fragrance
In my opinion, there’s only one minor con (aside from the price)…
Although this product claims to be moisturizing, I actually find that it can feel a bit drying, so I still apply my regular moisturizer beforehand. Just something to consider if you are looking for a BB cream that is very hydrating.
Have you tried any BB creams or BB primers? If you use any, what are your favorites?
Have a great day!

I am in the market for a BB creme and have been doing tons of research. I need the light weight feel too, the heavy stuff drives me crazy! This is perfect timing, it’s my birthday month so I have to hit up Sephora anyways. Thank you for the review!
I love this BB Cream. I recently did a BB Cream showdown with like 11 or 12 BB Creams and this one won! It’s the only one I recommend or use on my clients because it actually works! Love it! You have very good taste, but then I knew that once you mentioned you were a NKOTB fan
I use L’Oreal BB cream and no problems with breakouts. I also use a moisturizer with spf first, then the BB cream. I still wear foundation over the cream to work but for weekends I can get away with just moisturizer and the BB cream. Great price point at around $10, but now that I know I like it I may splurge for Tarte!
