Recently, I confessed that I sometimes have pretend shopping sprees online.  In case you’re just catching up, a pretend shopping spree involves adding a bunch of items to a shopping cart but never actually checking out.

A lot of you said that you often do the same thing, and I thank you for making me feel a bit less crazy!

Since I’ve had some dream items on my list for awhile, I figured that I’d have some fun and show you the results of my latest pretend shopping adventure.

By the way, according to my rules, chemicals and toxic products are totally allowed in a pretend shopping haul. ;)

Pretend beauty product shopping spree

1. Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Volupte Shine in Coral Incandescent ($34)

2. Chanel Le Vernis Nail Colour in Suspicious ($27)

3. Bliss Triple Oxygen Instant Energizing Mask ($54)

4. Dior Addict Lip Polish in Fresh Expert ($31)

5. bareMinerals Ready 8.0 Power Neutrals ($40)

6. Laura Mercier Vanilla Souffle Body Creme ($55)

7. Kate Spade Cabana Tile Gia Cosmetic Bag ($78)

8. La Mer ‘The Moisturizing Cream’ Ultrarich Cream ($990)

9. Tom Ford Bronzing Powder in Gold Dust ($95)

Had I actually checked out, this little stash of items would have cost me $1,404 (not including tax). Pretend shopping is definitely much safer than real shopping!

What luxury items would you put in your dream shopping cart?

Have you ever tried any La Mer products?  I’ve been dying to try them for years and always wonder if they are worth the hype.

Have a great day!

(PS- Tomorrow I am going to share my July favorites, and I can promise that they will be much more budget friendly!)

  1. I am a comestic bag hoarder – ha! Great for gifts and great for myself too! I would love to try different moisturizers and sunscreens with being a natural and outdoors girlie. Have a Great One:)

  2. I used LaMer for about a year and honestly I didn’t think it was anything special. It’s a great moisturizer, but then again so are a lot of other things like Josie Maran’s argan oil stuff.

I’ve been wanting to try the Dior Airflash foundation, but I just can’t bring myself to spend $62.00 on a foundation when I have like 20 other half used ones sitting around. Know what I mean?

    Great list btw!

  3. That is crazy that ONE makeup item can be $990!!! Yowzahs!!! I like pretend online shopping too. I wish I could checkout on most of it though haha
