PR//Soles {review}

I was given the opportunity to review Gone For a Run’s PR//Soles – recovery sandals designed for runners.

To start, they have two different color choices for these sandals, orange or pink. I opted for orange (Go Beavs!). After I received them, my man said I should have gotten pink. Don’t you hate that? Why didn’t you tell me that BEFORE I ordered them? (Granted he didn’t know I was getting them, so how could he have told me what color to get, but that’s beside the point Winking smile)

As you can see from the pictures, they have an egg carton-like texture that definitely creates a massage for you soles. It took a while for my feet to get use to that feeling, as the bumpy texture is cushioning, but pretty stiff at the same time. After I wore them for a while, I got use to the feeling and it actually felt really good on my feet.

You can also see from my pictures that I probably got one size too big. I don’t recommend that. Get the size that fits! Their website says “choose the foot bed length that is slightly longer then your foot” which is what I did. Now that I’ve tried them, I would have preferred one size smaller (the one that my foot measurement actually was), rather than having them a little too big.

Everyone [should] love foot massages. My husband rubs my feet a lot and it is truly one of my favorite things that he does for me! I wouldn’t replace his foot rubs for these sandals, but I wear them when he’s not available for a good foot rub treatment! As you can see from the list Gone For a Run has on their site with their PR//Soles , foot massages definitely help aid recovery!

After wearing these sandals for about a month, I had to decide if they were actually improving my recovery. Between my husbands foot rubs and wearing the PR//Soles , I haven’t had any issues with my feet or legs. Here is a simple experience I had that I was pretty impressed with these sandals:

One day I felt like they really helped my left foot when I tweaked the main ligament in the sole of my foot (plantar fascia). It wasn’t a huge injury, but rather a weird tinge of pain after sprinting barefoot on the kitchen floor to catch a glass bowl from falling on the floor. Yes, I caught it. No broken glass here. After that, the bottom of my foot hurt a little, and I was not going to let it get worse, so I immediately put the PR//Soles on and wore them for the rest of the morning. My foot didn’t have any issues after that.

That being said, I’d recommend these sandals, particularly if you have foot issues (ie: Plantar fascitis) from running or if you don’t have an awesome man like mine that will rub your feet every day!!
