As you guys know, I’m here for Fitbloggin’ – a fun annual fitness blogger’s conference that I had the pleasure of attending in 2010 and 2011, too. It’s nice to be back! This year, I’m here courtesy of Reebok – a big thank you to them for sponsoring me. I’m very grateful and excited to be here!
The conference just started this morning, but I arrived early on Wednesday so I’d have time to explore Portland a little before the madness began because I’ve never been here before! I’ll recap the conference-related stuff later, but for now here are some of the non-conference related highlights. Thank you for all the fun recommendations!
I have to say, the food here is AWESOME. So many fresh, organic and veggie-filled options – I love it! So far, I’ve enjoyed lunch at Laughing Planet :
Beet + carrot juice and their seasonal special – steamed kale, pork, beans, cheese, and veggies with salsa/guac – YUM!
My buddy Gina and I enjoyed breakfast there yesterday before heading off to yoga (more on that in a sec). It was amazing – we’re going back again this afternoon for juice!
Coconut yogurt parfait, green tea latte, & a coconut banana bar! I saved about half of the food for later – eyes bigger than stomach!
Another food highlight was pho for lunch yesterday at Luc Lac Vietnamese Kitchen . I treated myself to a massage on Wednesday night (my shoulders/neck were in need of some serious help, and the prices here were WAY better than DC), and the massage guy recommended this place. It was great! (p.s. If you are ever in Portland and looking for a massage – I went to David Emery Massage and would highly recommend it!)
