The fiancé and I have been making an effort to be more Earth-conscious since moving to the city. I’ve experimented with making my own all-purpose cleaner , we compost all of our fruit and vegetable scraps and religiously take our own reusable bags to the grocery store each week. We’ve also recently became a one-car family which means I’m commuting to work via public transportation on a daily basis now. You know what? Going green has been quite gratifying. I’ve found that making one small change leads me to make another, and another -thus I am thrilled to be partnering with Odwalla in promoting their new plant-a-tree program this month.
In an effort to nourish the Earth’s precious elements -fresh air, healthy soil and clean water- Odwalla has committed to plant up to 100,000 trees this year in collaboration with The Nature Conservancy. They just need us to get the goodness growing by decorating our own digital trees! I snuck a rainbow into my tree since us RDs love the concept of eating the rainbow. Meals with a variety of colorful fruits and veggie have even more healthy nutrients for our bodies.
Get decorating to have a tree planted in your name and a chance at winning awesome giveaway -a $10,000 gift card and years supply of Odwalla goodness.
Between March 20, 2013 and May 31, 2013, Odwalla will contribute $1 for each tree you create to The Nature Conservancy for the planting of trees -no less than $75,000 and up to $100,000. The mission of The Nature Conservancy is to conserve the land and waters on which all life depends. More information about the Conservancy is available by mail at 4245 N. Fairfax Drive, Arlington, VA 22203, by phone at (800) 628-6860 or at www.nature.org .
