I realize that it is Wednesday, and I’m still recapping my weekend.
Basically, I was too tired yesterday to write anything. I’ll blame it on the baby.
Getting back to the weekend…
Once Thanksgiving is over, I get right down to business and start decorating for Christmas.
Unfortunately for MT, this means that he has to haul his booty up to the attic for all of our decorations.
But fortunately for me, he is a great husband and only mildly complains about it.
On Friday, I decorated our house like a crazy woman (while drinking hot chocolate out of my Charlie Brown Christmas mug, of course).
On Sunday, we took MT to IHOP.
It was his very first time in a restaurant, and as expected, he slept through it.
Guess he didn’t want any pancakes.
(Side note: MT says that Michael looks like Kenny from South Park in the photo above because his hood is still way too big for his head.)
It was so nice to have some quality family time, and it definitely made me even more excited for our very first family Christmas.
The only thing that could make me love the holidays any more would be a Lionel Richie Christmas album. He needs to get on that one ASAP.
Since I am already in the Christmas spirit, I’m taking Michael to see Santa today at the mall. Hopefully, the Santa who we see won’t be nearly as scary as the one in A Christmas Story. I’ll let you know how it goes…
Have you done any holiday shopping yet? I started pretty early this year, so I’m actually close to being done. I always like to avoid the malls when they get super crazy.
Ah, he does look like Kenny! Awesome I’ve started decorating too, but only because my family is coming this weekend to celebrate Christmas early. I also did all my shopping for my side already since we’re doing presents with them this weekend. At least I have almost a month to shop for Greg’s side of the family!
Beautiful decorated – plus a family day at IHOP – sounds like a great time. I have to agree with you on a Christmas album – his voice and holiday music – oh swoon! I am slowly working on the gifts and like you do not do well with the craziness and crowds, especially with having a back injury right now. Have a Great One:)
