Christmas eve is not only Christmas eve...It is also my dad’s birthday. In our family, it is tradition for the birthday person to choose their birthday dinner. Every year, without question, my dad has chosen MEATLOAF!!

DSC06369 I think it started out as a joke...but over the years, it has stuck. Now, even while I’m not going home for Christmas, my little family ate meatloaf for our Christmas eve dinner.

I went to AllRecipes.com to choose from a WIDE variety of meatloafs. We ended up going with the Sweet’n’Sour meatloaf. It was actually quite good. I am a major fan of sweet’n’sour, so this was perfect for me. Next year we may try a different meatloaf recipe, but this one will be hard to beat!

On a different note...I love all the holiday goodies people have been giving us. After giving away our goodies, we have received caramel fudge brownies, chocolate chip cookies, muddy buddies, chocolate covered strawberries, strawberry jam, etc. I’m loving it (aside from the dentist bill I will be getting come this spring!).
