Ouch

Posted Feb 13 2012 3:31pm

Well, birthday weekend is officially over, and life is back to normal.

Breakfast

For breakfast today, I mixed up some strawberry Greek yogurt, oats, and almond milk, and let it chill in the fridge for a while. Then I ate it.

Today’s Workout

  • BodyPump
  • 20 minutes stationary bike

I didn’t workout all weekend, so it was nice to get back to the gym this morning. Lately, my calves have been killing me. They constantly feel tight, and I can only run for a few minutes at a time because they hurt so much.

I mentioned this to my sister-in-law over the weekend because she’s a massage therapist. She asked me if the bottom of my feet also hurt, and I said yes, when I’m running, they do. She thought that it could maybe be plantar fasciitis , which affects the connective tissue on the bottom of the foot.

She said that it would be a good idea to stretch, foam roll, and even use a golf ball to roll my foot back and forth on. So, I am going to take a break from the treadmill for a while and focus on stretching my calf muscles and feet because I can’t stand this pain anymore. My calves feel rock hard after I run.

Hopefully, they’ll get better!

After the gym, I had a cookies and cream thinkThin bar.

Lunch

Lunch was pretty boring – an everything bagelwich and an orange. A crazy orange – the peel was so thick, it took me 10 minutes just to peel it, and even then I couldn’t get the sections apart. I think I’ll stick to clementines from now on.

Tomorrow is Valentine’s Day. I have such a busy day. I have an appointment at the dentist to get my wisdom tooth looked at. It never bothered me before, and then all of a sudden last week it started killing me and hasn’t stopped.

Then, if I have time, I plan on going to the Cardio Fit & Tone class at the gym. Then right after that, I have an appointment at the dermatologist for a skin/mole check. Later, my brother is dropping my niece off, and I’m bringing the kids to Jacob’s Valentine’s Day party at school.

Jaden had his Valentine’s Day party today, since he doesn’t go to school tomorrow.

Then tomorrow night, Danny and I have dinner reservations at a restaurant I’ve been dying to try. My wonderful mom is staying with the kids. Thanks, Mom.

Questions of the Day:

Do your calves ever hurt? Can you fix mine?

Any plans for Valentine’s Day?

Have you gotten any wisdom teeth removed? I’ve had two taken out.
