Due to my recent obsession with food blogs (particularly this one ), I decided today that not only would I make a cake from scratch, but I would make a cake that I’ve never made before. Both were pretty risky moves on my part.
Having stumbled upon Paula’s olive oil cake , I was positive I was going to try it.I was pleasantly surprised! It was such a different taste, that at first, I wasn’t sure if I liked it or not. But after the first couple bites, I accepted it. Adrien loved it and asked me to make again, and Chris enjoyed it, took some home, and agreed it would make a good holiday cake.So all in all, it was a great first try of the olive oil cake.As for making a cake from scratch, I was also surprised. I was pleased that I didn’t have to spend extra money to buy a cake mix and the cake came out moist and soft just like any other cake.I am a happy lady!My next experiments are going to be with Nutella (which I’ve never had before): No Bake Mini Nutella Cheesecakes Chocolate Nutella Molten Lava Cake
