I started my meal plan today from Summer Shred.
When I first got Bobbi’s plan for breakfast it said 1/2 cup Oatmeal and 4 egg whites for the first breakfast… and right off the bat I was confused… I was like she wants me to make some oatmeal and then some scrambled eggs? haha. Well I googled it then and realized that people actually put egg whites in their oatmeal… Well that was different to me so I decided to try it this morning and here is the “recipe” on how to make it.
Boil your water
Add your oatmeal and reduce the heat
While that is cooking put your egg whites in a bowl and whisk them.
When your oats are softened add the egg whites and turn it to low.
Stir a lot and really fast.
Put it in a bowl and add toppings
Look how fluffy it is! I added some left over bananas that I had to get rid of because I didn’t really know how I would like just plain oats and egg whites that doesn’t scream out flavor.
It was pretty good. I don’t know if I will eat it everyday like I planned. I might try some overnight oats now that I like greek yogurt. I’ll have to share that one with you guys then if I make it. I ate breakfast later than usual today so I wasn’t very hungry once lunch time came around which isn’t good because I’m supposed to eat 6 times a day. So when I finally got hungry around 1 or so I ate some yogurt and a small apple… which should’ve been my first snack but turned into my lunch. Then about 4 or so I was hungry again so I had some more yogurt with blueberries on top. (my second snack for the day)I decided it is probably going to be hard to stick to my meal plan completely but I’ll try my best. It’s not like I won’t eat healthy anyways. Like tonight Eric came home with a surprise dinner… now how can I turn that down? I can’t! (: So meal plan is out the door tonight but maybe tomorrow and I’m fine with that!Another thing that is going to be hard for me to stick with is drinking 8, 12 ounce water bottles a day. Well I don’t drink water hardly now… but I did buy a Starbucks water bottle thing with a straw hoping it will get me to drink more.
I had one glass of it which is 12 oz right after my workout which is great… but since then I’ve had about 1/3 of my second one… Goal tonight finish 2. At least this water plan will get me to start drinking more of it even if its not 8 glasses a day!
