O.N.E Active Coconut Water Giveaway: 3 Winners!

Posted Apr 28 2011 7:49am

It seems like ever since last year, I’ve been hearing all about coconut water and it’s amazing health benefits. I was never a big fan of coconut so I went really long without ever giving coconut water a try. Eventually, I gave in and bought a bottle of ZICO Coconut Water . I took a sip and immediately spit it out. It tasted like soap water! I wondered how so many people could drink this stuff! I never tried it again until a couple of weeks ago when Equinox was passing out samples of O.N.E Coconut Water during the Vernal Equinox party . I was a little nervous to try it but I have a hard time turning down free drinks!

I figured it was a smart idea to try some that night since I was drinking a lot of vodka and was most likely dehydrated from working out. I took a sip and was shocked that I actually liked the flavor! I never thought it could be possible for me to enjoy coconut water. Of course, I wanted to try more flavors so I happily agreed when the folks from O.N.E Coconut Water offered to send me their Active line of coconut water.

O.N.E Active Coconut Water comes in three flavors:

Grape Berry

Lemon Lime

Cranberry Grapefruit (my favorite)

More about O.N.E Active Coconut Water (from the website ):

O.N.E. Active starts with the pure water from inside a young green coconut – nature’s original sport drink – then we add ginkgo biloba, panax ginseng, catuaba bark and antioxidants. Because O.N.E. Active contains essential minerals – potassium, calcium, magnesium, phosphorus and sodium – in the form of electrolytes, it is absorbed efficiently into the bloodstream, speeding fluid to your cells to rehydrate, refuel and replenish your body. Quick absorption is essential for warding off fatigue, cooling the body and achieving peak performance.

Of course, we avoid those undesirable ingredients found in most sports drinks (think high fructose corn syrup, preservatives, artificial flavors and day-glo colors ). Naturally sweetened with stevia, O.N.E. Active has no fat and no cholesterol and, at just 40 calories, it provides nearly 400 milligrams of potassium per 16.9-oz serving.  Like other O.N.E. Drinks, we package in eco-friendly Tetra Pak cartons.

O.N.E. Active’s essential herbs and minerals:

  • Panax ginseng: known to help support the body’s functions and increase resistance to physical, chemical and biological stress.
  • Ginkgo biloba: known to enhance circulation, memory and concentration.
  • Antioxidants: known to protect cells from oxidative damage and improve peripheral circulation.
  • Catuba bark: may provide vigor and stamina and strengthen the central nervous system.

I’ve been drinking the coconut water before and after the gym almost every day and have really noticed a difference in my energy levels. This stuff is also perfect to drink the next morning after a night of vodka! It definitely cured my hangover last week and made me feel 100 times better than I was feeling when I woke up. You should definitely give this brand a chance if you think you do not like coconut water. Good stuff!
