NYC Half Training Recap: Week 7

3 weeks left til the big day! I can’t believe it has happened so fast!

The craziness of the beginning of the week didn’t leave me a lot of time to run, but I’m okay with it. Enjoying being newly engaged this week has really been fun! I did get up 2 days this week to get on the treadmill for intervals and really banged those out. The best part is that, I know they are short runs, but I’m running at paces I don’t normally during my other runs, and I’m feeling strong! Always a great sign! I’ve still been enjoying the treadmill, somehow or another. Honestly, I think I feel so great after cause I literally just sweat like crazy! If I’m super sweaty after a workout, I am always happy! :)

I also had a great workout on the trainer Wednesday night, It was a perfect way to sweat it up inside. I love cranking the resistance for some intervals. I followed that by a TIU Core workout, and did some of the glute workout too. Holy sore hamstrings the next day! (This also helped to pass the time of being on the trainer :) )

Unfortunately, I got a stomach bug yesterday. ugh. Children, you’re so cute but you make me sick :( So that hasn’t been fun. This is why exercise this weekend is questionable…we will see if it happens. Thankfully I got my run in before it hit me bad yesterday….the rest of the weekend I”m headed to see Drew’s family, so I would really like to feel better. My only meal of the day was at 7:30pm yesterday.

On Saturday, we are headed to a big Endurance Sports Expo in Philadelphia (where Drew is from), so that will be a lot of fun! They’ll have everything, from bikes to shoes, to any kind of running and cycling accessories. This will be my first time going, so I’m really looking forward to it. (Hide my wallet!)

So this weekend i honestly have no clue when running will happen, but may have to wait til Monday. Come on stomach, lets pull it together! :)
