In case you couldn’t tell already, I can’t get enough of this city.

I’m sure my relentless raving is probably becoming sickening to some of you, and I apologize (I think?) for that, but in all honesty, one of the best parts of NYC is that you can spend your entire life here and still make a thousand new discoveries on a daily basis. Sooo something tells me that my honeymoon period won’t be ending anytime soon.

NYC is a VERY vegan friendly city, and I am lucky enough to live in one of the most vegan friendly areas of NYC. Thus I have a constantly growing list of restaurants that I have to try. I actually might try to compile an actual list for here in the near future (any contributions and suggestions are welcome!)

So I’ve heard about Liquiteria all over the blogosphere, and when I Google Mapped it I saw that it is like, 3 blocks from where I live. Ahhh, convenience! After yoga on Saturday, I hustled my booty on over there to see what all the fuss was about.

Liquiteria is a juice bar first and foremost, and I went with carrot and ginger in mind. Butttt when I took a look at their phenomenal smoothie menu, I had decided to double-fist it.

The carrot juice was lovely, and the ginger shot was a nice zinger to wake me up! (They have tons of other supplements too!) Their juice menu is really expansive and has several different combos for whatever your aim might be, from detox to immunity.

My smoothie? Oh. My. GOD. I got the Mudslide, which contains blueberries, bananas, rice milk, spiraling & vanilla vegan protein. It was creamy, thick, smooth, tasty perfection.

Because my giant smoothie was considered a “liquid meal” in itself I didn’t order any food, but they do have some delicious looking vegan sandwiches that I’ll have to give a try VERY soon. Because trust me, I will be back. A lot.

I will be back tomorrow with a NON- New York related post to shake it up a bit. And in the meantime, wish me luck for kicking this nasty bout of flu that I’m developing.
