It really snuck up on me! Actually, this whole YEAR snuck up on me. Time really does fly when you are having fun
I only ran 140 miles in November, but that does not mean it was not a great month. Actually, it was one of the bests months I have had this year!
Hands down, this was my favorite part of the month. Good food, good family, and good times. My family truly made me feel special when I came home. I don’t get that very often at school, so it was nice to feel appreciated for once. The most attention I get out here is being honked, yelled, and cursed at while I am riding to class.
I LOVE these shoes. I walk in them, I run in them, hell I even bike in them (on short rides when I am not clipping in/out).
When I am not cross training or running, they are the only shoes that I wear. I get plenty of weird looks and comments, but I am totally OK with that. If you want to look at my feet, go right ahead
My favorite comment: “Hey man look at those shoes! They have toes!”
3. My Heart Rate Monitor
I rarely run with a heart rate monitor, but when I am cross training, I feel like it is essential. It is easy to gauge my effort when I am running, but it is a lot harder for me to gauge my effort when I am doing something that is new to me. Of course it is going to feel hard because I am working different muscles, but I want to make sure I am getting the maximum benefit out of it.
Do you run with a heart rate monitor?
This was BY FAR my favorite food last month! Cheese has always been one of my favorites, but I was totally addicted to it last month. For the past few months, my goal was to try a new cheese from Whole Foods every week when I did my weekly grocery shop. Gouda, cheddar, goat cheese, feta…
They are all amazing
If I had to pick one that was my favorite, I’m going to have to go with Le Gruyere or Drunken Goat Cheese . Both our now staples in my house apartment
What is your favorite kind of cheese? Any suggestions I need to try?
What were some of your November favorites?
Whew, this post is starting to get a bit long, so I will quickly recap today’s training.
Running: 8.9 miles (4 barefoot)
Cycling: 10 miles in 40 minutes to cool down
I had planned on going to the 6 AM spin class because the “endurance” spin class on Thursday mornings is 75 minutes, but I forgot to set my alarm for 5:00 and I missed it. I don’t have class until later on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, so it was set for a later time
Hey, I still got in a great workout on my own right?
