Notice

I officially gave my two weeks notice at work yesterday!  Ahhh!  We’re really moving to Colorado.

Have I mentioned I’ve never actually stepped foot in Colorado before?  I’m not even sure if I’ve flown over it before.  I’ve taken leaps of faith before though, and am very excited for this next step.  Walker’s parents live in Colorado Springs, so we will have some family around, plus somewhere to stay while we sort things out and scope out the area to find the best place to live in Denver.

I am so so excited to live in a place that blends a big city feel with endless amounts of mountains and trails just a short drive away!

Denver apparently has the 10th largest downtown in the country.  Pretty exciting!

This mornings run was  a little slow as the humidity was somewhere around 70% (will NOT miss that!), but I knocked off 3 easy miles and feel good about it.  Tomorrow calls for 5 miles, the first “long” run on my half-marathon training plan.

After completing the run, I was craving something cold to help cool me down.

Enter smoothie:

I pretty much just threw together what I had left in the fridge:  a whole frozen banana, a few frozen strawberries, ice and about a cup of plain non-fat yogurt.  It hit the spot!

With 18 days until we hop in the moving truck, I am trying to use up every last bit of food in the refrigerator and pantry.  Will it be possible to not grocery shop for the next 18 days?  I’ll make an exception for fruit and veggies, but besides that I don’t want to buy anymore food until we hit the road.
