Non-Sequential Bills

Posted Nov 15 2010 12:51pm

Hey, Bloggies! Happy Monday!! I am a little late posting today, sorry….I didn’t get a chance to write last night, so it had to wait until after my AM clients/workout :-)

Are you on facebook ? I always update my posts on there so make sure you “like” my page :-) I am also on Twitter for those of you that tweet!

I am SO happy you all enjoyed my Guest Post Friday 5 ! Look for another one this week, then I will be back the day after Thanksgiving with a special post-holiday Friday 5!

How was your weekend? Mine was pretty eventful. There was a little excitement around here on Friday night. Michael and I went out to an early dinner, then we got home, and I decided to get in bed and read while he stayed out front to watch basketball. The doorbell rings around 9:15, and I had NO idea who it could be. Michael headed downstairs to find a folded note in our mail slot….

A ransom note:

It says:

“We Have Your Cat. $5,000 non-Sequential Bills or Munchkin Gets it. NO Police!” -Mr. Fish
Well, I was in bed when Michael walked into the bedroom to read this note to me. Munchkin was lying right next to me on his blanket:

5 minutes later….the doorbell rings again, no one is there, again….yet there is another ransom note in our mail slot:

It read:

“OKAY…So we don’t have your cat…BUT If you don’t pay say Goodbye to Fluffy!” -Mr. Fish
(PS–I have no idea who fluffy is so this was a pretty bad threat)

I said to Michael..who could it be? I had my strong suspicions, but for a second was a a tiny bit freaked out….once I got through the laughter.

Michael said “Who Else do you think it is??!!” “It’s no-drink November, and no one else we know is this creative and clever.”

The suspects :

My sister, Carly and her boyfriend Rob Hector.

“No-Drink November” is their attempt to be healthier and drop a few pounds. My sister is 21, so she has been enjoying going out and having a few beers a couple night a week.Hector wants to get into yoga, so they decided that they would abstain from drinking for 30 days, and become yogis. Well, the Zen peaceful practice may not be stimulating enough, yet…so they decided to make it their goal to torture me this month. They have nothing better to do on a Friday night now, so they had to find SOMETHING to occupy their time.

Of course, when I called her she didn’t answer, then I BBMed her, and she acted like she had no idea what I was talking about. Then, the doorbell rang again…this time, Michael and I were camped out at the windows to try and catch them in action. LOL, this time they were actually at the door, and thought we weren’t answering on purpose. I got a BBM from my sister that read:

“not answering your door is rude.”

Oh, I’M rude you say? Hahaa.

Downstairs, Carly and Hector were dressed in all black wearing hoods and beanies COVERED in mud from jumping in the bushes to hide. They said they were waiting for one of my neighbors to call the police, haha. Needless to say…it was an eventful night. Funny, nonetheless.

Saturday morning I did my usual….got in a good workout at the gym. I created a new salad as a snack later that afternoon that was simple yet, delish:

sliced grapefruit, stevia and chia seeds

I was watching Giada on Friday and she made some kind of salad with Grapefruit. Nothing like the one I made, but the slices looked really good and made me want to change up the way I ate my grapefruit. Good way to get my healthy brain food in by adding the chia sprinkles ;-)

That night I had my nephews 2nd birthday party. I can not BELIEVE that he’s already TWO! Boy, time really flies!!! We had a great time, it was just family and Zach was adorable. He is such a sweet kid, so lovable and he had a blast having everyone there to play with :-)

Sunday my mom and I went to Ikea in search of new bookcases for my kitchen and the wall outside my kitchen. I would like ones that close, so I can attempt to store some of my books from my den in there. I want to clear everything out of the den to make room for baby stuff…but I have SO MUCH STUFF! We had no luck finding something the size I needed, with doors…BOO.

I did, however get a new set of plates. I had the everyday plates we have…they are really no good for blog pics too, so I wanted to get a plain white set. Only $24.99, you can’t beat it!

Later that day I talked my brother into letting my borrow his juicer that he hasn’t used in over a year. You see, Robbie has a little addiction to info-mercials. His favorite are vacuum commercials…but he decided one day that he was going to get the Jack Lalanne power juicer. My old juicer is enormous, and stored away in my mother in laws basement….My brothers is a little newer, so I thought it would do the trick in fulfilling my juicing craving for a while:

Score! More Healthy Baby Fuel for Me!

I forgot how much I LOVED juicing. You can’t really “juce” in the Vitamix..and once the weather gets chilly, I am over cold smoothies.

The first thing I made was Spinach, Carrot, Beet, Orange Juice:

Ensuring I get my daily servings of veggies :-)

…..I also forgot how much of a pain those things are the clean. If anyone discovers a juicer that is TRULY an easy clean up….please let me know.

I am off to make lunch….hope you all have a great day!

What’s the BEST practical joke you ever played on someone or ever got “played” on?

xxoo
