No Spend Month Week 2

Well we’re one week down and things still appear to be flowing smoothly. We headed to Ward’s again to get food for the upcoming week.

Shopping list

  • $0.64 - Cubanelle Peppers (2)
  • $0.34 - Garlic
  • $2.00 - Kiwi (6)
  • $2.59 - Milk
  • $1.50 - Bag of Yellow Onions
  • $2.69 - Sherbet
  • $1.53 - Lentils
  • $2.00 - Tangelos (4)
  • $1.89 - Mushrooms
  • $2.55 - Thin Steaks
  • $3.03 - Ground Beef
  • $4.00 - Paper Towels (3)
  • $1.59 - Cottage Cheese with Pineapple
  • $0.89 - Bread
  • $1.89 - Eggs
  • $2.99 - Cheese
  • $1.09 - Margarine
  • 33.46 Total with Tax

Well-Being

I am quickly realizing the expenses involved with eating out. While cheap fast food options do exist (dollar menus) the food does not compare in nutrition or taste to freshly made meals. Eating these nutritious meals while getting a good amount of regular exercise (running and commuting via bicycle) has significantly increased my feeling of well-being. 

With this new found confidence and contentment, I am striving to achieve more goals that I will highlight in later posts.
