New technologies worth mentioning

Posted Jun 16 2010 12:00am

The American Telemedicine Association (ATA) recognized  Hello Health  as a recipient of the 2010 ATA Innovation Award for Telemedicine.  The platform delivers a set of automated tools, intuitive interfaces, integrated clinical and practice management systems, and the capacity for doctor and patient to engage in real time, any time, online or offline. I included them in my book as a social networking example, so I was really pleased to see their recognition.

Vidyo  is a technology I learned about at ATA.  It uses general purpose IP networks, including the Internet, to make telepresence-quality video conferences easy and affordable on PCs, Macs and HD room systems Vidyo or Hello Health.
