New Balance’s New Bras

Posted Mar 29 2013 12:00am

I never really thought too much about the words “new balance” until last night, when I was on my way to a New Balance event.  Right now, I feel like I need to find a new balance in my life.  I need to have a greater percentage of my time focusing on things that make me happy and a lower percentage of time on things that do nothing for me, mentally, emotionally, and professionally.  I’m not going to get crazy philosophical here, but sometimes the pendulum shifts and balance is thrown off and you get away from your greater purpose.

Anyways, the purpose of this post is to talk about New Balance’s new bras! Quite a while back in a fun Well and Good article, I recommended New Balance’s Tonic Crop Bra , which is still one of my favorites.  Last night, I got to check out their new collection at the New Balance Flagship Boutique store on Fifth Ave. I seriously love going to this store! It just looks so cool!

It was extra cool last night thanks to a DJ and cocktail waiters :)  Suit and Tie was blasting when I arrived!

And the bras…

The NB PSYCHE lines aims to fit each person’s individual needs, so the sports bra feels like it is made for your body.  The do this through varying levels of support, adjustable straps, and different amounts of padding.

I spoke with the bra fitter and she found that I was between a 32 and 34, and she went to work picking out a whole variety of bras.  As I am between sizes, she picked out two sizes for each style to make sure I found the most comfortable fit.

My two favorites were the Fabulous Framer II

The back was really cool and the clasp on the back made the waist band adjustable. I generally don’t like padding in sports bras, but the small amount in this one actually made it more comfortable.

My favorite of the night was the Tenderly Obsessive .  It looks delicate, but it’s made for high impact.  The thin adjustable straps are my favorite feature.

I also loved the fit guide on the door or the dressing room.

It was fun to check out the new line of bras.  I’m excited for my weekend plans! Happy Easter/Passover weekend!
