New Astrological Sign, Full Moon Effects

Posted Jan 19 2011 6:18am
Is the moon keeping you awake?  It is for me.

I've posted about the Full Moon and How it Effects Us but I know I have new readers so I figure since it's a full moon on Wednesday, I'd point it out.  And thank you to those new readers for finding me and reading.  And for the new commenters, thanks for de-lurking.

Full moons are known for contributing to everything from insomnia, sleep disturbances, irritability, moodiness, heated interpersonal exchanges, to computers and tech-related things going all glitchy and malfunctioning.  Click Here for more info.

I also posted a Full Moon List of Things to Do or Try

During a Full Moon, the world is filled with excess prana, or life force energy.   Technological or mechanical glitches are notorious during Full Moons.   Computer problems, car problems, appliances breaking.

For example, during this month's full moon my ice maker in my fridge broke and the next month my microwave broke.

But full moons are not all about glitches.  Many people believe that Full Moons are a time of Good Luck and Good Fortune.

Good luck and good fortune like receiving a package in the mail from Krista .  I won her Tetley tea give away along with 3 other ladies.

Thanks Krista for using your own money to ship this from Canada to the States (which wasn't cheap!) I really appreciate it and can't wait to break into my tea!

Since we're talking about the moon, has everyone heard you may have a new Sign ?

Good thing I didn't get that Gemini Twins tattoo on me and got this one instead, since I'm now a Taurus.  Ok so that tattoo wasn't on my radar screen but seriously, I do know some people who have tattooed their sign.  Whoops.

Thanks for playing along in my Life is a Bowl of Cherries post from earlier today.  It was fun to read what's been making your life a bowl of cherries.  And what hasn't been making your life a bowl of cherries these days.
And lots of cherry fans in the house, too!

I've been snacking on homemade Guacamole since avocados were on sale at the grocery.

And it takes two seconds to mash it all together using my cheater's guacamole recipe & method

And you can wash all that guac down with some Chocolate Peanut Butter Fudge

1. Have you felt any effects of the full moon?  Insomnia, edginess, increased anxiety, little tiffs or spats with friends or loved ones?
Just not sleeping quite as well the past few nights for me.  Just means that in another night or two, I'll sleep like a baby.

2. Has your Sign Changed?
Yes, from Gemini to Taurus.

And for me, that means very little.  I have never been very into astrology signs so I couldn't even tell you what that means for me that my sign changed.

I wonder if the sign changes will effect pickup lines in bars.  The ole 'What's your sign' will need to be qualified with what's your old sign, or your new one.

3. How much stock do you put in astrology, from full moon type phenomenon to your sign?
I do put stock into these things, and I do believe in the powers of the natural world and universe.

I don't discount things that can't always be "proved".  Sometimes there are very real, yet unexplainable, things. i.e. certain medical conditions are real but can't always be explained.

Or the emotional benefits of yoga are very real to me, but they can't necessarily be proved with science.

However, I don't live and die by these things, either.  Because lots of times, if you look for a reason to believe something or are straining to come up with an explanation for something, you can always find it.  A self-fulfilling prophecy.  i.e. your horoscope says you will encounter a setback.  So yes, if you are looking for one, you can likely always find something if you look hard enough.

Tell me your thoughts on all of this!

I plan to be outside later today enjoying great weather, working out , working, and hopefully taking Skylar to the park later.
