There are so many ways to make raw vegan brownies, but starting with dates, nuts, cocoa powder and agave and playing with the ratios in your Vita or food processor is the best way, based on your own machine and taste preferences. Sweeter is better for me..haha!

1. Here's an interesting article about the FDA possibly approving a new diet pill, Contrave. What do you think about diet pills? Do you think they can help America's obseity problem or just make us even more pill-dependent?
There are so many ways to approach this topic. In general, I am against pills. I am more of a Tough Love Girl . However, if it's a last resort for someone because they are too obese to even move, to exercise or to help themselves take that first leap in making life changes, then maybe it's worth a shot.
Such a loaded issue, for sure, and the article is a quickie read. I don't have all the answers and it's just food for thought that I wanted to mention.

Beets are one of, if not the highest source of plant-based iron
Brewer's and Nutritional yeast, as well as fennel, are great for milk production in lactating women
Garlic is anti-viral/bacterial/microbial and if you're coming down with a cold, load up on it
Flax seeds must be ground in order to be utilized fully by our bodies
If you have issues with hypothyroidism, avoid overdoing cabbages, kale, Brussels sprouts and cruciferous veggies

There are so many more fact out there! I am just listing a few off the top of my head.
I am going to get a workout in outside first a slow jog for 20 minutes, and then at home for 20 minutes doing some water jug lifting and yoga moves. Bustin' a sweat with my yoga moves in the Caribbean humidity, for sure! I better hurry, it's not raining. At this very moment.
