Namaste

Before this past week, when I heard the word Namaste it meant I had finished my yoga practice and had earned a piece of chocolate. Now when I hear the word Namaste I think about earning spice cake, brownies, taco pasta, and chocolate fudge frosting. These are just a few of the items that are offered by a company I recently stumbled upon with the name of  Namaste Foods . Namaste Foods is an allergy friendly company with many different sweet and savory options. 

Mary at Namaste Foods offered me the most unbelievable goody box for a review.

Inside the box came a bag, two of their products, information, coupons, recipies, and a note from Mary. I was amazed with the company right off the bat. Allow me to share a bit of information about Namaste Foods. 

Namaste foods are completely free of the top 8 allergens. They are gluten free, corn free, potato free, soy free, dairy free, tree nut free, peanut and casein free, and remarkably cheaper than their competitors. The product is all natural, GMO free, environmentally friendly and kosher certified. So what does a product taste like when it is stripped of all the junk? AMAZING, and it leaves your body energized rather than sluggish.

I was fortunate enough to try the Pasta Pisavera  and the Spice Cake Mix . Lets start with the Pasta. I am a pasta fiend..day in and day out I would eat pasta pasta pasta if my waist line allowed. With that said, I have eaten many pasta dishes in my days on earth and have tasted some that were not so great. Along with being a self proclaimed chocolate connoisseur, I like to think I am also a pasta connoisseur. Or maybe I just say that for any item I eat a lot of (broccoli connoisseur?).  I do tend to stay away from packaged meals, but after reading the ingredients I knew that the Namaste products would be great for a quick and healthy meal.

A quick and delicious meal with flavor. The spices in the package were abundant and tasted fresh. I added broccoli because no meal is complete without mini trees. Another great thing about the product is they GIVE you ideas right on the side of each package. No meal is complete without dessert, so the Spice Cake was up next. One of the recipes included in the recipe packet had a spice cake mix recipe. SCORE. 

Another quick and easy recipe to follow. After mixing everything together, someone couldn’t stop licking the batter. This is a good sign for a great tasting cake. 

This cake was TO.DIE.FOR. The texture, the taste, the smell..I felt like it was Thanksgiving all over again with the spices. I wanted to swim in a giant pool of cake and eggnog after taking a bite. It was moist all the way through and was equally moist the next day! I would NEVER guess it was gluten free. This cake paired perfectly with my ice cream pyramid.
