My Resveratrol Experience Update

Posted Jan 23 2011 8:56pm

Well it's been some time since I posted an update that I almost forgot how to write!  It has been a very hectic last few months.  I unfortunately had two injuries that needed some attention and unfortunately needed to take some time to get myself put back together.

First, I ended up with some bad bone spurs in my AC Joint (shoulder) which was due to a culmination of way to much activity with my shoulder over the past 35 years.  From baseball, to tennis, to working out too hard, to golfing too much, and so forth and so on, I ended up damaging my shoulder to the point where rehab just wasn't going to cut it.  I ended up needing arthroscopic surgery to repair the joint and shorten my clavical to free up some space.

The good news is the surgery went well and I am about 2 months ahead of my recovery schedule.  I am at about 80% function and strength at this point and it won't be long before I can start getting back to my normal workout routine.  Perhaps not normal, but close to normal as I won't be doing any more benching or squatting.

Second, I ended up with a herniated disc at L4/L5 and two bulging discs on top of that.  So my back is fairly messed up which has been attributed to some skiing / working out / and acting like a 15 year old.  So while surgery is the last thing I want to do to fix my back I am going through some physical therapy to try and help repair the damage that has been done.  So far so good as my back pain continues to diminish and my range of motion increases.

Third, family and business has taken me away from some of my web projects.  The good news is both the family and business are in good shape and I am finally going to have some time to work on my web projects, including My Resveratrol Experience.

You will start seeing more updates on My Resveratrol Experience and I look forward to hearing from you all.  If you find anything interesting, have questions, or just want to complain, feel free to comment.

Live Longer!
