My Must Have Items for Winter

Posted Jan 07 2012 8:50am

Thankful it is the weekend. My Friday felt like a Monday. Very glad to have two days off. I have a huge to-do list, but in no way do I expect to get it all done.

After I finished my Coping with the Cold post, I saw someone on Twitter talking about chapped lips during the winter. Thought I would share a couple of products I swear by during the winter.

For Lips: Lip Medex by Blistex

I actually swear by this stuff year round. It adds moisture to your lips and makes them feel good. I usually put it on at night and when I wake up, no chapped lips. It comes in this little round blue pot, which makes it semi-difficult to put on, but it is worth it. I usually find it at our Walgreens. If you want to buy a lot of the product, Amazon sells it in bulk.

For skin: Bath & Body – True Blue Spa Super Rich Body Cream

Now this I ONLY use during the winter months. It is very heavy, note the words super rich in its name. It definitely helps my skin stay moisturized during the winter. A little goes a long way when using this, but boy does it make your skin feel good.

For using my smartphone outside in the winter: AGloves

My mom bought my hubby and I these gloves over a year ago. They are perfect to use on touchscreen items (smartphones, tablets, etc.). I will say they are not the warmest gloves I own. If it is really cold and I want to use my phone, I wear these gloves under my fingerless fleece gloves.

My favorite new accessory: Infinity (or Loop) Scarf

I got this scarf for Christmas from my mom. It came from American Eagle. I LOVE this scarf. You can wear it long or double it. It keeps your neck soooo warm.

Today’s talking point: What are your must have items for the winter?

Have a great day! Off to complete some of my to-dos AND enjoy my weekend!
