So, to make a long story short, I had a miscarriage yesterday. I was 6 1/2 weeks along & despite it all, I am actually doing really well (physically, emotionally, etc).

After talking to my mom & my sister, my man & I decided that I should go to the doctor & get an ultrasound to make sure everything happened as it should & whatever else we could find out.

Well, as it turns out...I had an ectopic pregnancy & the fetus was in my fallopian tube...still! The doc said it measured 8 weeks & was really surprised that (1) I wasn’t in any pain & (2) all my running didn’t jar the fetus from the tube.

Apparently I should be in HORRIFIC pain, but besides the slight cramps I felt yesterday...I feel normal. I’m not bragging about it, I’m just really really REALLY glad I’m not hurting like I should!! He also said it’s very rare for the fetus to get that big with an ectopic pregnancy.

So, surgery is scheduled for tonight at 9 pm. No eating or drinking anything for the rest of the day, and of course I’m starving & dying for some water!! We have some friends coming over to stay with the little man while I go under the knife.

They are doing a laparoscopic surgery...putting a camera in through my belly button, and make two other small incisions a little lower. Then taking out the whole fallopian tube. I’ll be sure to post pictures (JK!!)

This is my first surgery, and I just really hope everything goes as it should! My man already got me my meds (anti-nausea & pain), a new fluffy pillow, & some flowers. What a sweetheart!!
