Hope everyone’s Thursday is off to a great start. How are we over halfway through the week already!?
Yesterday my morning began with an 8 am Skype session with my business coach, Ashley . I’ve been working with her over the past month to help gain some clarity on the life coaching side of things, such as what type of client I want to work with and what services I want to offer. Yesterday we hammered out a plan of action for the next few months and I’m feeling really excited about it! Lots of good stuff to come.
After our session, I spent the rest of the morning listening to music while working on one of the projects Ashley and I had outlined. Lately, I’ve been loving the 2Cellos station on Pandora when I work. It’s entirely instrumental with some classical music, but also covers of current songs like ‘We Found Love,’ by Rihanna. It’s pretty awesome and makes me feel so inspired!
Around 2 pm I headed out for a nice, long run. I’ve been getting tired of my usual running playlist so I just put my iPod on shuffle and let her do her thing, which ended up being perfect. Sometimes I swear my iPod knows exactly what I need to hear. In the process, I also uncovered some old musical gems I haven’t listened to in ages (hello, Michael Bolton! ). Love when that happens!
After my run, I spent some time getting the house (and myself) cleaned up for girls’ night. My good friend Hillary came over and we spent the evening sipping on Chardonnay and catching up on what’s been going on in each other’s lives. She’s the friend whose wedding I’ll attending in Jamaica this August, so we spent some time discussing plans for that trip. I’m getting so excited, and her wedding will be here before I know it!
To go along with our Chardonnay, I prepped the following spread:
From top left: goat cheese served with a tomato basil jelly that my best friend Nichole makes (seriously incredible!), Trader Joe’s pretzel thins and edamame hummus, smoked almonds, chicken sausage and grilled plums along with a dipping sauce I whipped up last-minute using some Fiji apple butter (also made by Nichole) and a little Tamari.
Along with the above, Hillary brought over a delicious fruit and cheese platter. She also brought me some cookies and flowers as a belated birthday gift.
My friends are the best. <3
I’m off to run a couple errands and hang out with my mom for a bit. Enjoy your day! <3
Question: What music inspires you? What are you currently listening to?
