I don’t log my meals online often (I use my journal each and every day), but I wanted to see what my calories and macros looked like (in numbers) so I used MyFitnessPal.com . I find that, although I love SparkPeople.com , MyFitnessPal’s food tracker is more user friendly, quicker to log in and easier to navigate – for me. MyFitnessPal.com came up with what my my caloric intake number and macros should be based on a very basic goals profile I setup on their site. Yes, their numbers are totally off, but like I said, I use this tool to see what MY total calories and macros are from time to time just to make sure I’m on the right track.
So, I lost a total of 6lbs last month (170.2 to 164.2) and I had lost a total of 4.2lbs (168.2-164.0) the month before. It’s a slow process trying to get down to 150lbs ya’ll and I take it month by month. As long as I’m not gaining or not losing at all then I’m OK. I always make sure I come out with a weight loss of some kind. It’s taking FOREVER though!!!!
Anyway, I’m keeping it clean today. I am a natural bodybuilder and I strive to eat clean everyday. I like the Crossfit approach to food/eating and in a nutshell it says, “Eat meat and vegetables, nuts and seeds, some fruit, little starch, and no sugar. Keep intake levels that will support exercise, but not body fat!” That’s it. Simple. Short. To the point. Follow that ^ and you’ll become successful – guaranteed.
