My Blogging Location and Boot Camp!

I am going to start out with a little tag game that's been going around in blog world lately. The wonderful Diana tagged me yesterday so here it goes!

So as you know, my blog is blocked at work. I now have to upload my pictures at home and log in to my computer remotely from work. I will just show you my work desk since my bedroom is not unpacked yet! I promise in a few days the bedroom will be ready!

This is where I am for 8 hours every day. I get to stare at a wall. Fun Fun! I always have water and tea in front of me. I also keep my cell phone hidden under my monitor so I can send texts without people seeing :)

Now for the questions:

What are you wearing right now?

Black Capri dress pants, a flowered blue and black shirt, and black gladiator sandals.

What’s the last thing you read/are currently reading?

I read Women's Health on the way to work if that counts. The last book I read was Naturally Thin!

Do you nap a lot?

I wish! They should let us have nap time at work. I don't really nap on weekends either because my room gets too bright.

Who was the last person you hugged?


What’s your current obsession/addiction?

Gum, chocolate, and blogs. I don't think that will ever change.

What’s for dinner?

I am sitting in the club box seats tonight at the Mets / Philies game. I heard they have a make- your-own-salad bar which I am very excited about!

What was the last thing you bought?

I bought Herbal Essences Totally Twisted Curl Boosting Mousse this morning! I ran out last night and knew I needed to wear my hair curly today because of the rain!

What are you listening to right now?

There is a conference call going on behind me. I can hear the entire conversation.

If you could have a superpower what would it be?

I would like to be able to shout out where I want to be and appear there right away. I could be at the beach every hour!

What is your favorite weather and why?

Hot and sunny! 80 degrees please. Why? Because I hate the cold!!

What time do you usually wake up?

I was waking up around 7:20 but this week I am being good and waking up 6 so I can go to the gym before work.

What is your most challenging goal right now?

Finding a career that I actually like. I'd also say losing a few pounds since it is almost bikini time!

Favorite pair of shoes that you keep going back to over and over again even though you have a zillion others?

I have Juicy flip flops that are really dirty but I won't throw them out because they are too cute.

Name one thing you can’t live without?


What time is bed time?

I try for 11 or 11:30 but it is tough sometimes!

If there was one place you could be right now where would it be?

Laying on the beach in Jamaica drinking a martini.

Enjoy! Since all of you have been asking for pictures of the new apartment, I decided to post the one and only room that is finished..the kitchen!

I am not used to the huge kitchen! I feel like I should rollerblade in there! The girl below me might not be so happy with that though! I got a lot done in my room too last night but I still have to get a dresser and loveseat so I can't completely unpack yet. Hopefully by the weekend it will be done.

Yesterday I was starving after my morning workout so I made a nice big bowl of oats.

It included a Kashi Honey Sunshine packet, cinnamon,skim milk, banana,Barney Butter, and Zoe's Honey Almond granola.

With a mug of Peach Ginger Green tea.

I worked out at lunch too and did 30 minutes on the elliptical. I brought the other 1/2 of my Subway sandwich for lunch.

It had turkey, ham, cheese, lettuce, cucumbers, and mustard.

I had some Cape Cod BBQ chips on the side.

I needed something sweet after. Normally I would chew a piece of gum but I stopped bringing it to work to kick my habit. Instead I decided to break off a piece of my POM bar.

It was really good. I could taste the pomegranate on the inside and chocolate on the outside. It was so good that 1 bite turned into the entire bar. I'm thinking I should at least bring 2 pieces of gum since I could have saved myself 200 calories yesterday. Oh well, at least it was filled with antioxidants!

After work I went to Target and got tons of things for the apartment. I got a new dish set, a lamp, new sheets, pots, and more. It is always nice to have fresh, new things when you move.

I made something fast for dinner since I had so much unpacking to do. Yes, another turkey and ham sandwich!

It contained:
  • Mustard
  • Cedar's jalapeno hummus
  • Alpine Lace White American Cheese
  • Part Skim Mozzarella Cheese
  • Boar's Head Low Salt turkey
  • Boar's Head Low Salt ham
  • Lettuce

I also had Cape Cod BBQ chips and hummus on the side.

Of course I needed chocolate after so I pulled out some chocolate chips to munch on!

I poured out a handful so I wouldn't go crazy and eat the whole bag!

I packed for the rest of the night so now I can actually move in my room!

This morning I got up bright and early at 6 am. I went to the gym near my work for a Boot Camp class at 7. It was a nice change from the usual elliptical and treadmill but I don't think I would take it again.

We started off by jogging around the room for about 5 or 10 minutes. I enjoyed that since it really got my heart rate up early in the morning. We then did several races and drills. We did suicides, crab walking, push ups, and more. They were good while I was doing them but there were too many breaks in between. I only burned 250 calories in the 55 minutes because of all the standing around while the instructor was explaining our next exercise. I like when it is non stop movement the entire class.

I know I would have burned a lot more on the treadmill or elliptical but am glad I tried it. Next time I will get there 15 minutes earlier so I can make it to the 6:45 am spin class! I always need some sort of motivation that early in the morning.

I am off to go do a little work. Hopefully it stops raining before my baseball game tonight!
