You have such a big heart—a heart that I know will make a difference in the world one day. You love those around you; you know how to make others laugh; you know how to be kind and polite. Continue to grow in those traits and seek how to best use them. Look to your role models—please learn from your father. He is a good man who loves his family fiercely and completely. Know that your family matters most in this world and when you love your family you have everything that you need. Learn from your grandfathers—they have sacrificed much for years in order to provide for their family more than what they were afforded. They taught us the importance of hard work and dedication. Learn from your uncles—they too, are all dedicated to their families. Uncle Jim is a person of strong faith, Uncle Mike is a person of great generosity, and Uncle Matty is a person of commitment. Look to them and learn from them as they will have much advice and guidance for you as you continue to grow.

The days of your snuggles are fading, I cherish every one of them. Gone are the days when you needed me for everything—you are growing much too fast. You are already on your way to becoming your own person. A person, that while I cling to the echoes of your infant cry and tiny grasp, I look forward to with great anticipation. To see the man you are destined to be—to see you grow in strength of spirit, faith, intelligence, and character. I look into your clear, blue eyes today and know that they speak so clearly of the man that will one day look back. You will grow up and one day move away and have a family of your own, but you will always be my littlest. My baby—my only son. The boy I will forever be proud of and with pride will say, “that is my son!” I love you, never forget that Mr. Man. You are forever imprinted in my heart.
