Today was Moose's day, a beautiful 62 degrees outside and overcast. We walked around the city for 3 hours today! Look at that face, posing and everything.
More photogenic than her parents.
The weekend started out great! I took a spin class at Flywheel Chicago . I forgot how much I enjoy spinning. Years ago I was teaching between 2-4 spin classes a week and I loved it. Once I started teaching Pilates full-time, my schedule and my gym's spin classes were always conflicting. This spin only studio offers classes at lunch time and at off peak hours. The teacher played great music, her energy was awesome and so were her dance moves (she was highly entertaining). I find that places that specialize in a certain aspect of fitness usually do it better than your general health club. They get the best equipment for their sport and teachers who specialize in what they are teaching. I am happy to say that I found an alternative cardio workout for Fridays in the winter instead of my long runs outside. If you are looking for an intense, sweaty, and challenging workout I say give spinning a try! Don't be shy if you are a first timer, walk straight up to the teacher, introduce yourself and ask for help in setting up your bike. You will be much more successful, reduce your risk of injury, and you will get a much more effective workout.
This week's workout plans: Sunday : 7 mile run (check!) Monday: Hot Vinyasa Yoga Tuesday: Teach bootcamp and Pilates Wednesday: Plyometrics Thursday: Teach bootcamp and Pilates Friday: Run or Spin (dependent on the weather) Saturday: OFF
