{Monday Motivation} Noting Progress and Accomplishments

Posted Jul 30 2012 7:00am

Good Monday morning to you all!  I find myself preparing for work.  What about you?  Nonetheless, I would LOVE to do a weekend recap.  If you follow Savvy Sassy Me, you may have read in Saturday’s post that I have been struggling with the first signs of “Workout Burnout” – Workout Burnout – Overcoming the “Fitness Funk” .  Upon writing and reflecting on this post, I noted one key mistake in my fitness regiment–noting my progress and realizing all that I have accomplished.  Instead of constantly pushing forward, sometimes we have to stop and reflect upon what we have been able to do up to this point.  This weekend?  I did just that.  I would love to share with you all.

Saturday’s Workout: Circuit Training (with 1 mile warmup and 1 mile cool down), also a core workout (crunches & planks).

Sunday’s Workout: Lunges, Squats, Repeat. – I ran 3 miles, did 4 sets of 25 lunges, and 5 sets of 15 squats.

Monday Motivation: Note your progress and appreciate how far you AND your body has come.

Another highlight of my weekend (besides the start to the Olympics): Chobani was on sale!  Woot woot! My local United/Marketstreet had it 5 for $5.  I couldn’t pass that up.  I am VERY much #chobanipowered so I just can’t get enough of the greek goodness. :)

Naturally, breakfast this morning was #chobanipowered – and topped with some frozen raspberries for an extra oomph!

Final note: I made a new Instagram account that is health/fitness specific.  Why?  I wanted an outlet to post my progress pictures.  Noting my progress has become a key way to keep myself motivated, and my personal account was NOT the place for the images.  So follow my new account: @savvysassyme !

That’s all I have got for today!  So get out there and WORK IT!  And don’t forget to note your progress.  Your body works hard, so pay mind to all it has accomplished and TRUCK ON!

xoxo Savvy Sassy Me
