Monday has once again come way too soon!

Posted Feb 06 2012 10:13pm

Wow, once again I feel like Monday has snuck up on me. Today has been a whirlwind of grant submissions and preparing even more grants. I can’t wait for March when things will slow down a little. I did make time to go to Yoga today and it was the best decision I have made all day. I find that I am able to concentrate and accomplish so much more during the day if I just take one hour for yoga. If I don’t take that hour I end up wasting 2 or 3 hours not being able to concentrate and just get the job done.

On to workouts for last week:

Monday: Trainer ride/Push up Challenge

Tuesday: Rest day

Wednesday: Yoga/ Running Speed Work

Thursday: Yoga

Friday: Rest Day

Saturday: Tempo Run

Sunday: 6 mile run

Two rest days this past week… not what I wanted but oh well. I did have an amazing run on Sunday. Seriously, it was the first time since I have started running again that I actually felt like I was getting somewhere. I felt strong and fast for all 6 miles. It was just the motivation that I needed.

This past weekend Scott and I started several projects. One involved a fun trip to Ikea to buy a ton of picture frames for a picture wall that I am working on and we also started car shopping! We went to several dealerships and ended up ordering a car that will be here in 8-10 weeks. Hopefully, this means we’ll have a new car around the beginning of April. We are both pretty darn excited about it since we were able to build it the way we want it.

It should look something like this when it gets here:

Forester

We decided to go with a Subaru Forester.

Has anyone else had any new car buying experience? This is my first time. The only new car I have ever owned was purchased by my dad.
