After my crazy night , the last thing I wanted to do this morning was my Tracy Anderson workout.
My brain was brimming with excuses for why I didn’t need to do my workout today.
My inner dialouge sounded something like this:
Lazy Megan: “You danced for over an hour last night– after midnight– so that technically “counts” as your dance cardio for today. You could just do the 30-minute strength workout, and call it a day.”
Logical Megan: “You didn’t really sweat much on the dance floor last night. You’ll feel better if you get a good sweat in, especially after all that wine and champagne!”
Lazy Megan: “I slept badly, and have a neck cramp. Bouncing will just make it worse.”
Logical Megan: “I have a neck cramp, so bouncing on the rebounder will probably help!”
Lazy Megan: “Good point. But I still don’t want to.”
Logical Megan: “I don’t want to either… but I know I should.”
This went on for a good 10 minutes.

Finally, I went downstairs– still undecided on what to do– and mentioned to my mom that I wasn’t feeling like working out yet. That maybe I’d do it later.
She simply said, “Just go do it now. You’ll feel better after.”
That’s all I needed.
I put on my shoes, and got on the rebounder for a 30-minute cardio session:
Tennis shoes are definitely necessary for this workout , even if they are an OLD pair. (I didn’t want to pack another pair of shoes for this trip, so I keep these in my mom’s closet for back-up) Usually, I prefer bouncing on my rebounder barefoot, but my ankles need the extra support for Tracy’s moves!
Once I was thoroughly sweaty, I completed my 30-minute strength toning DVD, too. It was my last day of this 10-day series, so I really tried to push myself! I move on to my new strength workout tomorrow.
My mom was right, I totally felt better after.
Moral of the story: Mom knows best!

Post-workout, we treated ourselves to iced coffees and a bit of shopping! Between the two of us, my mom and I go through a lot of produce. We already needed more juicing supplies, even after our grocery-store run on Friday! We picked up a cart’s worth of cucumbers, romaine, salad greens, cherry tomatoes, and lemons.
I was really excited to find some raw tahini today, too! (not all Whole Foods carry it here)

I see some
creamy tahini dressing in my future.

We also picked up
this little gem, which was on sale:
Of all the scents I’ve ever smelled, this is the BEST ONE EVER!! (
Parsley scent )
I can’t stop smelling my hands.
–
Post-shopping, I made a couple
Choco-cado Milkshakes , with LOTS of extra spinach:
My mom enjoyed hers as much as I did!
Now, if only we could get my dad to drink one…

Okay, I’m off to be lazy for the rest of the day.
Hope you enjoy the rest of your Sunday!!
