January was not the best month in light of meeting my milage goals. For this, I am going to blame the weather. It's a bit of a cop out, but I am going to use it and going to have to step up my milage during the week even if it means logging miles on the dreaded treadmill. I should be running about 75 miles a month or 18 a week. If I only run three times a week it's a six mile run and less if I run 4 days a week.
January was a "free" month for me, meaning I was not training for anything specific yet and haven't been following a plan, so I know that has something to do with it. I think I need to start scheduling runs and not just waiting for the spirit to move me!
One method I am going to try as well and that is using "Meet Up"! My friend Adam has been running weekly with a group of people that he found on the Meet Up site and really enjoys it! So I signed up and am looking forward to hooking up with a group that runs the lakes by my house at my pace.
It should help with upping my milage and not running alone either. I have wanted to find a few people who run at my pace and that I can really connect with in our running and life! I have a few people that I love to run with already: Jason, Jenna and Adam (who runs with Meet up already) and am hoping to get them to come along.
