Maniac Monday

Hello Luvs!

Today has been a funny day so far and I really want to share…

So this morning I volunteered to watch a 3 month old baby so her cute parents could enjoy a nice bike ride together.  I have a niece just a little bit older and I thought I was a pro at this baby thing.  How hard could it be? They eat, sleep, poop, and do it all again. I was wrong…As soon as momma left she was not happy and I can see why.  I’m sure she was thinking, “who is this crazy lady who rolled out of bed and smells like oatmeal” (my choice of breakfast this morning).  Needless to say, she fell asleep in my arms and I rejoiced! I expected her to sleep like that till her parents got back but I was wrong…She was hungry and I had no idea what I was doing with the formula so I called my mom.  She’s had some experience with 6 of us so I thought I’d use her as a lifeline.  She was a little surprised to answer the phone and hear a baby screaming (she was a little confused since Remmie doesn’t really cry and I don’t have a child).  I figured out the bottle and then the squirt was my best friend.  All smiles and giggles from then on.  Her parents showed up shortly after and took the darling home.  Did this experience make me baby hungry? Sadly no.  I realized I have a lot more growing up to do before I take on a little one in our lives!

Called my Mom back after the experience and all she did was laugh about the earlier phone call. First of all, I called early in the morning with a baby screaming and the first thing I said when she answered was “I’m so not ready for kids”.  All in all in was a funny morning here:)

Moving on to some awesome fitness for the day.  I completed the usual Butt Blaster Cardio on the Elliptical followed by a great ab workout I found at Sweet Tooth Sweet Life. Here is the killer workout your abbies will love:)

Exercise Reps Sets
Crunches on Stability Ball 25 3
Lower Ab Crunches with Stability Ball 20 3
Bicycles 25 2
Weighted Ab Roll Ups 20 3
Toe Touchers 20 3
Side Plank Raises 20 each side 1
Plank Hold (1 minute) 2

I made a salad for lunch with various veggies, hummus, and salsa! Finished off lunch with some vegan Sunwarrior protein cookie dough bites!

  • 1 scoop of Sunwarrior vanilla protein powder
  • 1/2 banana
  • 1/4 c GF oats
  • 1 tbls almond butter
  • 1 tsp agave (more if desired)
  • cinnamon to taste
  • Handful of dark chocolate chips

Throw it all into a food processor until well blended.  Form into small cookie dough balls and enjoy!

I inhaled them and yes that is a zip lock of Remmie’s food in the back ground of the first picture:)

Remmie enjoyed his monday night:)
