My parents want me to make a meal plan for my little brother and my step-mom. I realize that I do not have my degree and am NOT a professional, but I do know enough to help them out and am exciting for this opportunity.
My little brother plays football and has gained weight the past few months and can't seem to take it off. My parents couldn't figure out what was going on, with all the football he does he should be LOSING weight. I looked at his daily intake for food and realized that e only got 1,000calories a day along with only 1 serving of fruit OR vegie.
Now that my parents are aware of this they have been letting me control what he eats. Yesterday I had him eat with me, so what I ate he ate for the most part. His calorie intake went up and he had at least 3 fruits. Not perfect, but a lot better than 1!!
I really hope that this opens my parent's eyes a bit and they realize that they need to make some changes with their eating habits. All of them could be healthier. I am excited to help teach them about the benefits of a healthier life!
