I wanted to share something with you all that I’m a tad obsessed with lately. I don’t know if its because the texture, the taste, the cool-ness factor, or the fact that it gives me a cardio workout that I love it. Ha! But for whatever reason I’m loving this recipe lately.
I saw this recipe off of Jamie Eason’s FB page and knew I had to try it- back in high school chemistry we made this but with full-fat milk. Basically, you mix some type of milk or alternative milk (I use 1-1.5 cups unsweetened almond milk) with your choice of sweetener (stevia for me), vanilla extract, and protein powder (optional, but I normally use it). Pour mixture into a small ziplock bag. Then fill up a large ziplock bag with ice cubes and 1/2 cup salt. (Yes, it is ALOT of salt). Place the little bag inside of the bigger bag, put on some gloves (or brave it out) and shake that bag around for a few minutes!

Here I had vanilla flavored:
Here was strawberry (which I topped with cocoa almonds later):
Pistachio (I added sugar-free pistachio pudding mix.. I haven’t used this in months but decided I’d try it!) topped with pistachios:
And lastly, chocolate! This was a protein blend and it made a creamier texture:
Yummy!!
Let me know if you try it! It’s kinda a pain in the butt to make but it can be kinda fun too. Ha!
