Long Weekend This past weekend was a long weekend here in Canada, it was our May 2-4 Victoria Day weekend and hubby had some helitrox scuba dive training in Kingston (actually Rockport) so we all headed out for the long drive at 4am. While hubby scuba dived, Marina and I checked out the waterfront trail, the park and ofcourse shopping. Here are a few pics of our waterfront trail walk
We lucked out with beautiful weather. So as you would have guessed, no working out last weekend, I no longer consider long walks exercise, even though some people do. But I enjoyed quality time with my precious daughter, nothing is better than that.
Yesterday I knew I had to kick it hard at the gym. I wanted to do a long run and lower body workout. I headed to the gym and as I walked in I was told that the gym had a huge flood and will be closed for a few weeks. WHAT??? As much as I complain about my gym, it is the closest and most convenient gym so to have it closed I am now freaking out. I didn't have time to head to the next closest gym because it isn't close, so I headed back home and did Jillian's Abs workout and some free weights and sit ups. I felt bummed out the whole time, I really hate when my plans get changed all of a sudden.
Today I also decided to workout at home because of time restraints. I had a great incline run and hoping to get in a long run tomorrow but looking at the weather it will also consist of being done here at home. Whatever works to get the workout done!
