Living Nature Luminous Pressed Powder

Posted Dec 05 2010 11:23am
I'm still lucky enough to part of the bloggers review group with My Pure and had my latest parcel of goodies arrive this week! Again, I've been able to choose the products I wanted to review and have gone for two items including the Living Nature Luminous Pressed Powder .
(I had a bit of trouble with this parcel as Mr Postie seemingly lost the first one - but I was so impressed with My Pure who responded to my message and sent out a replacement straight away)

Here's a bit about the Living Nature brand
"Living Nature was founded by Suzanne Hall and is New Zealand's most popular natural toiletry and cosmetic brand, they have been making natural products for over 20 years and are respected worldwide for their uncompromising purity.

Suzanne says "All plants produce a variety of bioactive molecules to protect themselves from stresses such as insect and bacterial attack, and dehydration caused by drought, heat and frost. Living Nature products capture these concentrated bioactive molecules, and they provide the active ingredients in the range - protecting and nurturing the skin exactly the way nature intended"

And here's the blurb about the Luminous Pressed Powder
"Natural minerals combine to give this powder reflective and refractive properties, adding a soft luminous glow to your complexion. Use as the finishing touch to your makeup or alone for a soft natural colour. Beautifully presented in our classic refillable aluminium compact."

I am of a yellow based skin tone, that becomes quite olive toned in summer, but wanted to avoid any hint of orange so went for the Light shade (also available in medium & deep) and that turned out to be a perfect shade match for me. The colour is very natural and doesn't try and change the tone of my skin. It blends well over foundation.

I normally apply powder with a big fluffy brush but have used the powder puff provided with good results. I can smooth the powder on all over and press it on to my tzone for shine control. The powder is so super smooth it actually glides on to the skin and my face feels velvety soft. I can apply it quite thickly with no horrid cakeyness or powdery build up.

The product is billed as a luminous powder and it certainly is - my skin looks luminous, glows and looks healthy with no shine or glitter. Normal powders can leave my face looking flat and one dimensional but this powder leaves it looking smooth and radiant.

The powder cost £17.99 from Mypure and I actually think I might end up buying it in the future! It really suits my skin tone and leaves me face feeling great.

Have you guys tried anything from Mypure before?
