Liver Cleanse Tips and Recipes

A liver cleanse helps to target the liver and can even lead to the passing of gallstones, which can improve your digestion and make the liver more efficient. The cleanse is performed over a two day period, so opting to follow the cleanse on a weekend is advisable. Begin the cleanse with a light, non-fat breakfast. The actual cleanse begins at 2:00PM. You cannot eat anything from 2:00PM until the next morning.

At 2:00PM, mix the following ingredients and refrigerate to chill.

Salt Drink

4 tbsp Epson salts

3 cups of water

Drink a dose of the mixture, ¾ of a cup, at 6:00PM and at 8:00PM.

After the last evening dose of the salt mixture, prepare the following drink.

Grapefruit and Oil Drink

½ cup of olive oil

¾ cup of freshly squeezed, pulp-free, grapefruit juice

Mix the ingredients and drink at 9:45PM.

Drink a third and fourth dose (¾ of a cup) of the salt drink at 6:00AM and 8:00AM. Continue eating light and healthy foods throughout the rest of the day.
