Live TV interview? No pressure here….

Posted Oct 07 2013 7:15am

OK… so when I got the e-mail asking me to do a Skype interview for “television”, I though, “OK, this is some all access cable thing that airs at 4:00 am.” But I couldn’t have been more wrong!

As most of you know, I am currently busy promoting my “just released” book “100 Perks of Having Cancer plus 100 Health Tips for Surviving It”.  It’s a collection of my best posts here at The Savvy Sister, along with my co-author Florence and her 100 perks of cancer that she posted during her treatment for stage III cancer in 2011.  The book is for anyone that is going through treatment, or for anyone that has gone through it in the past AND for anyone that wants to stay healthy and avoid cancer and other chronic illnesses like heart disease,, diabetes, arthritis, Alzheimer’s…etc.  All diseases stem from the inflammation reaction in the body and the physical changes that occur when the immune system is crappy. What helps you avoid cancer, also helps avoid everything else.

The book has simple changes for healthy living (hey…where have I heard that before?) and also great cancer fighting recipes and fun tips to get a health mind, body and spirit. You can read some sample chapters here

Would you believe I just rolled out of bed?

The interview was actually a live TV piece with a CBS affiliate in Sacramento California called “Good Day Sacramento”.  I only realized this when they called me to do the Skype check that morning and I saw them airing the show as I waited my turn.  The good thing was, there was no time to get nervous.

It was a 4 minute segment, and I had no idea what they were going to ask me, so I knew I had to make it quick! That’s when my “New York talk” came in handy.  Originally from the great state of New York, I’m a fast talker when I need to be….

So here it is…see what you think!
