Live and Learn

It was so hard pulling myself out of my warm, warm bed this morning. I had to really talk myself into taking Zeke for a long walk, but I finally did it. We made it out for a 45 minute walk around downtown and arrived home just in time to warm up.

I had a cup of oats soaking overnight, ready to be make into soaked oatmeal this morning. I heated it up for 2 minutes, added a bit of agave nectar and a quarter scoop of my new Bodylogix vanilla protein powder, and stirred it all up. I also topped my oatmeal with some chia seeds for added omega-3's.



The oatmeal was good and the added protein powder was amazing; however, microwaving the oats in such a deep cup instead of a shallow bowl left some of the oatmeal undercooked. I ate it all up anyway. Next time I'll remember not to use this tall bowl to heat up my oats!


I also sipped on a glass of 1/2 cup carrot juice and 3/4 cup blueberry juice. It wasn't as refreshing as I had hoped, but it sure did add some nutrients to my morning!
