Life In Travel/Packing Tips

Last days craziness is so on. Organizing, packing, shopping etc. You know what I mean. Always there is so much to do before going away.

After almost six years of constant traveling I have became pretty good in packing. Yeah, my sign is Virgo so that means I am super neat and organized in everything what I do. I remember when I started traveling and how I was trying to pack and how bad I was in it.

I want to share some of my tips. Throwing your stuff randomly in your luggage dosnt help! Especially I need to be really clever with what I take with me. I need to fit everything in one luggage, because I need to carry it by myself from airport to hotels and back, a lot of different stops. So its easiest for me to have less baggage to carry. Also I need to think about seasons, because its Winter now, but the Summer is coming, so my wardrobe need to be really functional. And most important I cant forget to leave some space for thing what Im going to buy.

*Dont over pack! Take clothes what are easy to match with each other and what you wear the most. There is no point to waste space with clothes what you will not wear!

*Put the heaviest items in the bottom of the suitcase and lighter ones on top of them.

*Fold everything really well, it saves a lot of space and its easier to find your things.

*Everything should have their own corner in the luggage. Pants/skirts in one corner, shirts in another, jackets/sweaters should have their own corner and toiletries with robe and sleeping wear should have their own space.

*Put socks and belts into little pockets of the suitcase.

*Shoes are usually the heaviest pieces and they also take a lot of space. So it would be really smart to wear the bulkiest pair.

*Take care that all kind of lotions, shampoos etc will be in a plastic bag, because we dont want to find explosion between your well packed clean clothes.

*Yeah about clean clothes. I find disgusting packing clothes what are not washed with clean ones. So it would be really nice to have all washed and clean clothes in your luggae.

*Jewelery is also pretty heavy and also if your accessories are expensive you should keep them in your hand luggage.

*Keep your books, computer in your hand luggage.

Super important for long flights is to dress comfortable, but that dosnt mean sweatpants. You are not going to the gym and you are not at home. Dress adequate, its still a public place and if you hang around in your pajama, its also uncomfortable for people around you. Respect yourself and others.  Hand luggage, what you take to the plain with you should be packed with most needed things.

Here are some things what are most important for me.

*Magazines are just must have and lets not forget that airports are the best places to buy a bunch of international magazines

*Phone, Earphones, Computer, Camera, Ipod Touch/Ipad

*Notebook for new ideas, plans and schedules. I have a lot of things in my mind, so its really important for me to write them down immediately!

*City Guidebook find out all the new things about your destination. Its always nice to be prepared.

*Cashmere scarf its like a safety blanket for me.

*Make up basic concealer and mascara for little fixes after 10 hour flight.

*Eye Mask Everything for better sleep! I promise you!

*Lucky Charm Must have where ever I go!

My first destination is Hong Kong where I will be for two days. Im so happy to go back there. I truly love this city and what can be better to have nice friday and saturday in Hong Kong. On Saturday I will fly to Shanghai/Huangzhou. Will keep you updated with everything!
