Let the Party Begin!

Posted Feb 10 2012 4:05pm

Happy Friday! Danny had the day off today, which worked out nicely because it’s snowing like crazy and his drive home would have been horrible. However, we’re having a family birthday party for Jaden tonight and some people might not be able to come because of the snow.

But we are doing something super fun the rest of the weekend which will make up for it.

Breakfast

For breakfast, I had a blueberry Kashi waffle (I only have two more left!) with stupid crunchy peanut butter. Crunchy peanut butter is impossible to spread. What are you supposed to do with it if you can’t even spread it?! I also had the rest of the strawberries.

Since Danny didn’t have to work today, he came to the gym with me. I just did a quick and easy workout because we still have a lot of stuff to do to get ready for Jaden’s party.

Workout

  • 16 minutes treadmill (walk/run)
  • Biceps curls: 15x, 3 sets, 16 lbs.
  • Rowing machine: 15x, 3 sets, 25 lbs.
  • Ticeps extension: 15x, 3 sets, 8 lbs.

Once again, I forgot a post-workout snack, and Danny and I had some errands to run after the gym, so we stopped at McDonald’s and got two chocolate milks.

Danny said it was the worst chocolate milk that he’s ever had. I really don’t think it was that bad. Maybe he just got an old one. And yet, he still drank all of it.

By the time we got home from doing errands, I was starving so I made a bagelwich with egg whites and cheese on an everything bagel thin. I love everything bagels. They are by far my favorite bagels ever.

We spent the afternoon cleaning and getting the house ready for Jaden’s party. Danny mostly cleaned and I supervised. I’m good at that. I did dust and clean off my desk. And cleaning off my desk is a huge job. Somehow it accumulates everything I own.

We took a little break to make some nachos. I make them super simple – vegetarian refried beans, Mexican cheese, and salsa. We usually use sour cream too, but we were out of it. Then I just cook them in the oven for 5 minutes. Easy and yummy!

Questions of the day:

  • Do you have any plans for the weekend? Relaxing at home counts.
  • What’s your favorite fast snack?
