Let’s Play Catch Up, Shall We?

Posted Aug 23 2011 12:00am

Contrary to popular belief I am indeed still alive. I leave on Sunday for Arizona so I am working everyday, plus studying for my final that is on Thursday. I am done with my online class which feels like a unicorn that has been given wings. I think about blogging everyday even if I don’t do it. I have some pics of some nosh to share with you babies.

This concoction is great for a quick, yet nutritious meal. I brought this to work with me. Optimum cereal, heeellllaa bluebs and kefir. Carbs, protein, fruit. Energy to drool at my man crush at work.

I decided to try another “fake meat” product the other day and I was rather impressed.

29 grams of protein EACH wiener (giggidy)! I snagged these after work the other day along with some parmesan cheese, brussel sprouts, broccoli, and spag.

Fun Fact: I am obsessed with parmesan cheese. LOOK at these flakes.

This was legit the best meal I have had all week. I couldn’t even finish it, that NEVER happens! Those protein dogs rocked my world.

I have been lacking energy lately and I am starting to believe it is because I haven’t been working out. After my butt crack of dawn morning shifts I usually relax or go to school. I have been considering work a good enough workout, but that is going to change. Yesterday I worked at 4am, came home and ate, took a nap, and woke up feeling less than par. After one too many pieces of candy I decided to go for a walk. I set out with no plan, just to walk.

After a distance I was unsure of, two joggers passed me and I found myself watching them jog and admired the way they moved. Then it started to rain, and I got an urge to run. I had planned on simply walking, but the desire to move took over. I can’t explain the euphoria I get from running in the rain. I have always loved it, and love it even more now that running is something I do for fun. I ran for a short mile and a half, but had a smile on my face the entire time. The road turned into a steeeeeeep incline. After looking at my distance I covered 6miles total with the walking included.

Ohh haayy cherry face! I immediately felt an internal boost. I know we all talk about this, and it’s something that we tuck away into our memory bank, most of us use this idea daily, but sometimes we forget. Movement affects eating and eating affects movement. When I move, I eat better and when I eat worse I don’t move. I need to bring this back into play with my daily routine.

If I haven’t commented on your blog lately it’s not because I don’t love you, or because I am jealous of the cookies you are eating, it’s because I am so overwhelmingly busy. I read them when I can, but don’t comment. Just know that I still love you and hope to be back to a better blogging schedule after this week!

Question: Running (or other forms of workouts) in the rain, yay or nay? YAYAYA.
