Thanks to everyone who sent me questions yesterday, I'll do part 1 here and part 2 later (so you can keep sending me more questions) ^_^ I also enjoyed reading your reasons to blog and read blogs, I think most of us enjoy healthy lifestyle and enjoy diversity, so we'd go to look people who we find interesting and/or similar to us in some aspect to see what they do to conduct their healthy life.
FAQ part 1
1. Do you have a favourite TV show? Not really, I'm not a TV person and I don't have time for it either. When I was in Argentina (less busy) what I enjoy most was cooking or culinary channels. They're my inspiration to create recipes and learn some cooking technicals. Now in US, whenever I sit down in front of my TV I usually watch a movie.
2. what is the favorite place you have travelled to? Definitely Paris! I've been there twice, once in 2001 with my best friend where we spent 4 days visiting all the museums and historic places. I loved french bagels, the buildings, the romantic environment. So when Star (my bf) asked where I'd go to celebrate my birthday, I didn't have to think much, so in 2003 we went Paris and stayed a week to celebrate my birthday. Since I already knew all the tourist must see places, we enjoyed more the city by walking around, finding new neighbors, new cafes. It was amazing! I enjoyed so much!! Look my happy face3. what is/was your fave subject(ever)? Economics, that's why I'm here, spending the best 5 years of my life, being a part from Star, to do research on Economics. It's a lot of sacrifice, but because it's my life passion, it worth it.
4. what are your favorite foods/cuisine? and what are your least favorites? Favorite cuisine: italian, japanese, Jewish (I need to learn more about this), vegetarian, everything that it's delicate and healthy. Least favorite: fast food, american chinese cuisine, anything that's greasy, fried, unhealthy.
5. What kind of movies do you like to watch? I like drama, comedy, sometimes action and suspense too. Usually I enjoy more those movies that make me think and reflect later, that I could learn something from it.
okay. now let me recap yesterday which ended up being very enjoyable. I went to a yoga class in the morning, came back home feeling still exhausted and low emotionally. My best friend called me (the one who won the prize), he wanted me to accompany him to buy a swimsuit since he's going to swim outdoor for a race. I didn't feel like going out, especially my body felt tired. But I went anyway and so glad I did. We bought the swimsuit (260$, so expensive!) and went to Georgetown for some drink/eat. He took me a very nice German tea house with the best dessert/sandwich I've ever seen since I am in US. I had an assorted plate of tea finger sandwiches. I didn't bring my camera so for illustratio purpose, these are finger sandwich although what I had had much more filling than these I had 3 kinds: smoked salmon, tomato and mozzarella, and tuna salad. They were amazing!!! I'll go there again for sure, so you'll have real pic of it! We talked a lot and he made me laugh a lot as usual. I confirmed the fact that I felt bad after knowing he won the price because I felt guilty and not because I kept feeling jealousy/envy. I'm so glad to have him as my best friend in US and I'm sure he considers me as his best friend as well. That sense of loyalty and trust is so important to me and he gives me both.
Other eats of day Breakfast: flaxseed porridge with pumpkin (1/2 c. ), look how stunning it was. Topped with PB and coconut spread. Ashley, this is the flaxseed porridge that Krista sent me I bought two argentinian cereals bar with me to yoga, since I had to go to Goodwill to donate used clothes afterward. Two because they're smaller than US kinds of cereal bars, usually around 100 kcal each one. Lunch was seaweed soup with tomatoes and chinese one pot meal. I freezed them in separate serving, so homemade frozen meal! ^_^ Before I left to meet with my friend, I had an apple and a bar that Annie sent me few weeks ago. I must say this bar was a little bit too sweet but kept me full for a long time. For dinner I made a barley risotto which was so easy and so delicious. It has barley, chicken broth, green peas, corns and fresh parsley. And a cleaning-fridge kind of stir fry: mushrooms, spinach, red pepper and tofu. I add some vinegar and brown sugar this time, and it was amazing! I'm sure they're the secret ingredient for a good stir-fry. Dessert: dairy free chocolate pudding! ^_^ my favorite! Question: Do you believe in true friendship between man and woman? I was really skeptical about this, but it happens that my best friend here is a guy and I'm so happy about it. ^_^
