Latest Trader Joe’s & Earth Fare haul

Home Gluten Free Latest Trader Joe’s & Earth Fare haul

7 comments Apr 03/13 Gluten Free, Healthy Eating, Trader Joe's

I went to Trader Joe’s the other day to stock up on some things (especially wine).

Do you know how difficult it is to find room for groceries and alcohol when you have a baby carrier taking up the majority of your grocery cart?

Trader Joe’s should do all of the mommies out there a public service and make super-sized carts.  I might even start a petition! ;)

Despite the lack of room, I still managed to do quite a bit of damage there.  I’m a very talented shopper.

Trader Joe's haul

Here are some of the things that I got this week:

Fire roasted red & yellow peppers
Butternut squash (pre-cut and cubed)
Sweet potatoes
Bananas
Unsweetened vanilla almond milk
Gluten-free rolled oats
Organic kiwis
Organic lemons
Frozen strawberries
Organic frozen raspberries
Frozen mango chunks
3 bottles of wine
Organic butternut squash soup
Gluten free tortilla wraps
Udi’s whole grain bread
Cashew cookie Larabar
Mixed baby bell peppers
Avocados
Corn and chile tomato-less salsa
Pineapple salsa

In addition to those things, I picked up a few items from Earth Fare yesterday:

Unsweetened chocolate almond milk
Organic baby spinach
Kombucha
Pitted dates
Soy-free Earth Balance butter
Carrot juice

All of the frozen fruit, the chocolate almond milk, bananas, spinach, and the dates are for smoothies (which probably comes as no surprise).

Any good finds at Trader Joe’s or the health store lately?  I’m always looking for something new to try.

Have a great day!

  1. Love this post! I am so excited that they have cut butternut squash. I LOVE it but HATE cutting it! My fingers do too! I just got a $50 gift card to TJ for my birthday and I can’t wait to use it!

    • My husband is always terrified that I am going to cut myself, so I try to spare him the heartburn and buy things pre-cut when possible. :) You’re SO lucky that you have a TJs gift card! You’ll have to let me know what you get there when you use it. :)

  2. I love fruit salsas … I’ll definitely have to try TJ’s pineapple variety!

  3. Your top picture? I actually went to TJ yesterday and got the EXACT SAME THINGS (except for the kiwis). I love trader joes! Great minds think alike.

  4. Looks like you got some great stuff! I’m jealous… my fridge is completely barren right now (aside from Easter candy, no joke). Gotta get to the store!!! Hope you’re having a great week :)

  5. I LOVE TJ’s! I was just doing my weekly shopping there today, and it was me and about 15 moms with babies in their carts. I was thinking the exact same thing! Of course, you could always just have them hold a case of wine for you at the front. ;)

I’m on a kale kick right now- we buy the TJ’s frozen kale and add it to everything (even smoothies!). Same with baby spinach, but the kale holds up better to saute and casserole and slow cooker recipes.

  6. I can’t wait to hit up TJ’s when we’re in Charlotte. Whenever we come down to the states, the only priority for me is to have my list of foods I want ready hahha
